Indra Sukhram Peters, EJD, MSN, APRN – NP, has had strong didactic and extensive clinical experiences in her training that allows her to be committed to positive patient care. Indra is dedicated to ascertain patient care in safe, therapeutic environments and base her practice on effective evidence-based health care practices.
Indra’s services include a strong emphasis on patient advocacy, providing Durable Power of Attorney for patients in need for such services, assisting with medical/legal issues surrounding health care and contract negotiations for nurse practitioners, additionally to Family medicine. These comprise histories & physical examinations, diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescribing appropriate pharmacological, non-pharmacological agents and treatments therapies for the management of the diagnosed condition. Indra’s practice accentuates Prevention, Health promotion and Maintenance.
Indra came to Beatrice, Nebraska Senior High school: Advance Placement, transferred from Guyana, South America. She graduated and became a Registered Nurse from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln and received a Masters of Science degree in nursing, graduating Magna cum Laude, from Andrews University, Michigan. Her postgraduate studies were at Clarkson College, Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated, Magna cum Laude, with a Post-Masters Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, she completed an Executive Juris Doctor, Health Track law degree (with honors) from Concord University School of Law, LA, California. She was on the Deans List and Distinguished Scholar.
Indra is credentialed by both the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of Nebraska Nurses Association, and Legislative Chair for the Nebraska Nurse Practitioners. Indra was nominated a Biographical candidate into the Manchester Who’s Who among Executive and Professional Women in Nursing and Healthcare, received a Helping Hand Award from the Nebraska Nurse Practitioner Association, Nominated Nurse Practitioner of the year, State Award; excellence in patient care and induction in Sigma Theta Tau: National Honor Society for Nurses. Combining well-grounded family and work ethics, she has received a range of positive professional and patient care plaudits.
